The world celebrates Nelson Mandela’s birthday, who would have been 96 today. He was such a great human being whom I admire the most for his courage, his bravery on standing up for what’s right, his words of wisdom, and mostly his selflessness. He’s one of the greatest men who ever lived who had made such a huge impact in this world and he surely will always be remembered.
As we celebrate The Nelson Mandela Day, I’ll give you some of my favorite words of wisdom from the man himself, Nelson Mandela.
” No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite ”
“It always seems impossible until it’s done”
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”
“Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies.”
“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”
“Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”
” Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
“We pledge ourselves to liberate all our people from the continuing bondage of poverty, deprivation, suffering, gender and other discrimination.”
“Lead from the back — and let others believe they are in front.”
“We recall our terrible past so that we can deal with it, to forgive where forgiveness is necessary, without forgetting; to ensure that never again will such inhumanity tear us apart; and to move ourselves to eradicate a legacy that lurks dangerously as a threat to our democracy”
